Widely used throughout the United States, this method builds upon theories of development in young children — foremost being that they learn through active exploration of their environment and therefore the environment plays a critical role in learning.

The goal of The Creative Curriculum® is to help children become independent, self-confident, inquisitive and enthusiastic learners by actively exploring their environment. The curriculum is also designed to help teachers understand each child's unique abilities, interests and needs as well as to build on their strengths and interests.
