What are the hours of operation?
We are open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday, January through December. What
ages do you serve?
Our programs accept students up to 12 years of age,
including infants as young as 6 weeks. Our Before and After School Care
program accepts students in Pre-kindergarten through 5th grade.
How are Wheeler Pines, Oakbrook and Greenbrier
affiliated?
All three schools are privately owned and operated
by The Bradley Schools.
Where are you located?
- Wheeler Pines Preschool is
located one-half mile from Doctors Hospital on George Wilson Drive just
off the Wheeler Road exit of Bobby Jones Expressway.
- Oakbrook Country Day Preschool
is located next to Stevens Creek Elementary School on Evans-to-Locks
Road.
- The Greenbrier Preschool is located
between the entrance of Riverwood Plantation and Windmill Plantation
on William Few Parkway.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and check payments.
Do you have a Georgia Pre-K program?
The Bradley Schools have a total of five PreK
programs located within the three schools.
Are the policies and procedures different
for each school?
The policies for each school fall under the Bradley
School umbrella so all centers employ the same policies. Each parent receives
a parent handbook upon enrollment.
Do you offer discounts for families with
more than one child enrolled?
We offer multi-child discounts for our full-time
students.
What if I decide to withdraw my child?
To terminate preschool/childcare services, the
parents/guardians must notify the Center Director in writing at least
ten (10) working days
in advance or pay tuition for the ten days of service in lieu of written
notice.
What is your illness policy?
If your child has a fever of 101.0 degrees, is
vomiting, or has diarrhea, we ask that you keep your child at home. Any
child displaying
these symptoms while at school will be sent home and may not return the
following day.
What if I don’t want my child to
play outside?
The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning
requires that all children play outside everyday unless the weather is
inclement. All children must play outside as long as the wind chill is
above 35°F, the heat index is 95°F or below, and it is not raining.
Can I observe my child’s class?
Parents are always welcome to observe their child’s
classes.
Do you accept any form of government subsidized
childcare?
We participate in the Department of Family and Children’s
Services tuition assistance program.
What Meals are provided?
Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are provided
for Infants through Pre-K. Parents should bring formula and baby foods
for infants not yet eating the solid foods offered on our menu.
How do you select your food menus?
Our menus are planned and approved by the Georgia
Department of Early Care and Learning.
Do I need to bring anything for my child?
Please make sure your child always has a change
of clothes, including shoes and socks, as well as a blanket for naptime.
If they are not potty trained, you will also need to provide diapers,
wipes and cream. If they are in the infant class, you must provide all
bottles and/or daily food.
Do I need an appointment for a tour of
the center?
Tours are given every day between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
without an appointment. An appointment is requested for any other time.
Is Parent Involvement Encouraged?
Yes, The Bradley Schools are committed to promoting
active parent participation. Parents are encouraged to visit the schools
and are welcome at any time. There is always written and verbal communication
between faculty, parents and the child’s classroom. Our PARENT ACTION
COMMITTEE (PAC), involves parents that represent each class room, they
meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month.
What is the Enrollment Process?
To enroll in any of The Bradley Schools’ please
follow these steps:
- Submit a pre-enrollment
registration form and the $100 Enrollment fee, which places you on
a waiting list, based on the following priorities:
1. Current Bradley Schools’
children waiting to transfer into the center or into a particular room
2. Outside children who have paid an enrollment fee
(from the date received)
- Offer of Enrollment - Once a space is available;
families are called in the order listed on the waiting list.
- Accept Enrollment - When you receive the enrollment
packet, complete and return the application and submit a non-refundable
enrollment fee of $100.
