Our History

The original Bradley School, Wheeler Pines, was founded in 1985 by Cathy and Charlie Wall to fulfill a simple but until then unanswered need. We envisioned a quality pre-school program where children would be safe and stimulated to learn. We wanted to create an exceptional center of care where parents could find peace of mind knowing that their child was well cared for and loved.

Back then, we knew very little about early education or organized group childcare. However, we knew undoubtedly that the characteristics we sought in a pre-school center were the same as most parents want: quality care and attention; a safe, nurturing environment; a loving, giving staff; and a challenging, creative curriculum. We believe the fact that we have continued to evolve and grow is testament to both our founding philosophy and our consistent commitment to reach for higher standards.

Where We Are Now

Today the Bradley Schools encompass three locations throughout the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) including Wheeler Pines Preschool, Oakbrook Country Day School, and The Greenbrier Preschool. Each program employs a full-time Director and staff, many of whom have been with us from the beginning. Together, our centers serve a combined total of over 500 children annually. In addition to offering preschool care as well as school-age before and after care programs, we provide stimulating extra-curricular activities, including field trips and enrichment classes such as music, soccer, and ballet.

Our team still appreciates and recognizes that finding the "right" pre-school environment for your child is one of the most difficult and important decisions facing parents today. To that end, we extend an open door policy to all parents and invite potential parents to experience and observe The Bradley Schools for themselves.
